Madeira New Years Eve Fireworks

Madeira New Year’s Eve Fireworks were declared to be the world’s largest display, in 2006/7, in the Guinness Book of Records. The pyrotechnic company called Macedos contributed to Madeira breaking the world record for the biggest New Year’s Eve fireworks display. For an eight to ten-minute presentation, the estimated cost is considerably over one million Euros. The fireworks display in Funchal’s amphitheater, which is blasting up from about thirty different points, is best seen from the sea. A large number of cruise ships, as well as boats, line up all across the harbor to see this spectacular show.
The best vantage point from which to view the Madeira New Year’s Eve fireworks is from the sea. You have the best perspective of the entire synchronized spectacle from one of our boats.
